Automatic Groceries
Your grocery cart, filled while you make coffee. Automatic Groceries teaches Claude your family's groceries. Each week it checks what you actually bought, reads the flyer for deals, fills your online cart, and can plan dinners around your calendar. You review it and check out.

What it does every week
The same routine a careful shopper would follow, done in the time it takes to pour a coffee.
Learns from last week
Compares the cart it filled with what you actually ordered. Removed the extra bananas? It buys fewer next time.
Checks what you're low on
Knows rice lasts you seven weeks and milk lasts one, so it doesn't rebuy what's still in the pantry.
Reads the flyer
Finds your staples on sale and checks the price against what you usually pay, not just the store's "was" price.
Fills the cart and reports
Adds everything to your store's online cart and tells you what it added, swapped, and skipped. You check out.
Dinners that fit the week you actually have
Connect your calendar and Automatic Groceries plans dinner around it: a proper meal on free nights, five-minute food on swimming night. Here's a simulated week for a family of four.
Notice Thursday and Saturday: cooking extra on a free night feeds the busy night after it. The ingredients for all seven dinners go straight into the same cart as your staples.
Built to pay for itself in the first month
You'll need a paid Claude plan to run it. Claude Pro is US$20 a month, roughly C$28. Add the one-time $43 and your first month costs about $71.
Most of the savings come from two habits Automatic Groceries never forgets: buying staples when they're actually on sale, and not rebuying what you already have. Move the sliders to see your own numbers.
An estimate, not a promise. Your savings depend on your store, its flyer, and your habits. Prices in Canadian dollars; Claude Pro converted at an approximate exchange rate, before tax.
A few fixed rules, then it's yours to shape
Like a pre-flight checklist: a handful of items never change, and everything else is how you like to fly.
Always true
- It never checks out. You place every order yourself.
- It never types your password or card number.
- It shows you everything it added, swapped, and skipped.
- When it's unsure about fresh food, it leaves it out and tells you.
Make it yours
- Your staples, your brands, your "never buy" list.
- How hard to chase sales and how much to stock up.
- Your dinners, tagged by how long they really take.
- Your own house rules, in plain words: "always two lemons."

-
No. It fills the cart and stops. You review the cart and place the order yourself, every time.
-
No. Automatic Groceries runs inside your own Claude account and your own browser, with your own sign-in. Nothing comes back to us.
-
It's built and tested on PC Express (Real Canadian Superstore, Loblaws, No Frills and others). Any store with an online cart and a web flyer should work, since you tell it your store during setup. Check your store's terms of use if you're unsure.
-
Setup and the weekly cart run need Chrome on a computer. You can review the cart and check out from your phone as usual.
-
Yes. Setup is uploading one file and answering Claude's questions about what you buy. The guide walks you through it step by step.
-
Please do. Everything except the fixed safety rules lives in your household profile, in plain English. When you correct it, it offers to remember the correction.
